I feel profoundly that humanity is a good thing. Despite conflict and despite suffering, I really feel in my heart that humanity is good. And I feel that our lives are made of small, deeply beautiful moments that echo and influence one another.
When I capture one of these moments, my heart races. Maybe because I feel like I’ve proven my hypothesis through photography that people are in fact good. And maybe also because I’ve proven to myself that our lives are made of beautiful moments.
To believe that humans are good is to also believe that I am good. Or at least, that I can be. And it is to believe that I can be beautiful, and create beautiful things, and be part of a small beautiful moment that makes humanity good.
So this series is for good.
